Grants and funding for environmental improvements

In the district of Mid Suffolk, there are several funding opportunities available for projects that aim to:

  • improve the energy efficiency and environmental performance of community buildings
  • improve green spaces and biodiversity in local communities
  • grow food

This webpage details the different sources of support that are available. For 'building energy and carbon improvements', this includes items such as renewable energy (for example, solar panels), more efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling (for example, heat pumps), insulation to improve the building's performance, and better heating controls.

If you would like to develop an energy saving/generating or environmental project, there is a community network and resources operated via the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership.

Visit our Advice for community groups webpage to find out more about the role of community groups in improving the environment, and tackling climate change.
