You can apply for a temporary event notice (TEN) if you are aged 18 or over. TENs need to be submitted no later than ten working days before the first day of the event. These ten days do not include the date you apply, or the first day of the event.
There are some limitations to how many TENs you can apply for per calendar year:
- Personal licence holders can apply for up to 50 TENs
- Non-personal licence holders can apply for up to 5 TENs
- A premises can host up to 15 TENs (that last, in total, no more than 21 days)

Late TENs
In some circumstances, you can apply for a late TEN between five and nine working days before the first day of the event. These days do not include the date you apply, or the first day of the event.
There are some limitations to how many late TENs you can apply for per calendar year:
- Personal licence holders can apply for up to ten late TENs
- Non-personal licence holders can apply for up to two late TENs
Late TEN applications count toward your overall number of TEN applications.
