Manage Your Account Online
If possible, please try to resolve your query online, before contacting us. We have put together a comprehensive set of frequently asked questions about Council Tax, which we hope will help you with this.
Customers who live in Mid Suffolk are able to create an online account (a 'MyAccount') and access Council Tax and Business Rates services online.
This online system is available for Council Tax and Business Rates (non-domestic) payers. Information for Business Rates payers can be accessed at the bottom of this webpage, jump to Business Rates section.
Council Tax Account Information
Register for an account
This will help you sign up for a paperless account and create an online account
To register for a MyAccount for the first time, you will need your latest Council Tax bill to hand. You will need to quote your Council Tax account reference number. This information is printed towards the top right-hand corner of your bill or eBill.
If you live in Mid Suffolk, your account reference number will be eight digits long and will begin with the number '5'.
Every year, we produce a guide to bills and eBills in Mid Suffolk. These are mockup bills and eBills that customers can use to better understand the structure of their bill - and where to find different pieces of information. Access the guides via our Council Tax and Parish Charges webpage.
Sign in to your account
If you have already created a MyAccount, you can sign in via the relevant link below. You will need your username and password to hand.
Username and password reset emails
If you have forgotten your username and/or password, you will be able to rest these. This process includes an email, sent to you, with a reset invitation link.
Sometimes, these emails enter a customer's junk or spam folder. If you have requested a new username or password and have not received the reset email, please check the folder(s) before contacting us.
