Planning Position Statements
Mid Suffolk District Council currently have one adopted Planning Position Statement, which covers Eye Airfield.
Eye Airfield, is an area of 135ha adjacent to the A140 in the north of the district, has the potential to provide up to 3,000 new jobs, offers additional space for local businesses to expand and grow, and to attract inward investment to support economic growth.
A Planning Position Statement (PPS) has been produced and adopted by Mid Suffolk District Council as non-statutory Planning Guidance. This demonstrates how the area can be developed in the future to ensure that it delivers its full potential in enabling economic and housing growth for the area.
Prior to adoption of the PPS Mid Suffolk District Council, in consultation with local businesses, land owners, stakeholders and residents, prepared a development framework to provide a vision for how this strategic growth site could be developed over the next 20 years.
