Discover Suffolk

Discover Suffolk is Suffolk County Council's guide to the Suffolk outdoors. Their website provides information about walking, cycling and horse riding routes in the county.

Their interactive map allows you to filter and search for different kinds of routes (for example, walks that are over eight miles long).

Discover Suffolk are also responsible for organising the annual Suffolk Walking Festival.

Discover Suffolk also offer a free mobile app, which can be downloaded via Apple's App Store or Google Play.

OneLife Suffolk

OneLife Suffolk run over 200 volunteer-led walks across Suffolk every month.

Their Wellbeing Walks are free to join, and are graded according to five levels of difficulty - there is something for everyone.

If you are interested in leading a Wellbeing Walk, and helping local people stay active and meet new friends, you can become a Wellbeing Walks volunteer.

Ramblers

The Ramblers' Association help manage and promote walks all over Great Britain.

Visit The Ramblers' Association's website to find a walk that's local to you.

You can also join your local Ramblers Group, if you are interested in organised group walks.

Parkrun

Parkruns are weekly community 5k events, that are free to join. Participants can run, jog or walk the distance.

There are two types of event:

  1. parkrun: 5k events that take place every Saturday morning at 9am
  2. Junior parkrun: 2k events, for 4 - 14 year olds, that take place every Sunday morning at 9am

Before you attend a parkrun, you will need to register. This only needs to be done once.
