Electric bikes for hire in Stowmarket
The pod generates its own electricity through an integrated solar panel, keeping the bikes charged using renewable solar energy.
Funded by Mid Suffolk District Council and installed by Suffolk-based business, Eezybike, the solar powered bikes are available to hire at a reduced cost, making electric cycling more affordable and accessible for residents and visitors.
The bikes can be found at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre which is run by award-winning operator Everyone Active.
Bookings can be made via the Eezybike website by selecting 'Stowmarket pod’ as the pickup location.
Cllr Teresa Davis, Mid Suffolk District Council cabinet member for thriving towns and rural communities, said:
Buying an electric bike is a big investment and by having these e-bikes available at a cheaper hire rate, it gives everyone the opportunity to try them out, see how easy they are to use and decide whether it’s the right option for them.”
