The Fressingfield Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) was 'made' (adopted) by Mid Suffolk District Council in March 2020. It covers the plan period 2018 - 2036.
The NDP is now being updated by the parish council so that it can continue to help guide and shape development in the parish. The review will cover the plan period 2024 - 2044.
The process for modifying a NDP is set out in relevant regulations. The nature of the modifications will determine how much of the process needs to be repeated
The pre-submission draft Fressingfield NDP was screened to determine whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and or a Habitats Assessment (HRA) are required. Both have been 'screened in'. The relevant reports and our determination notice are published below:

In an 'out of meeting' decision published on 27 March 2020, Mid Suffolk District Council agreed to 'make' (adopt) the Fressingfield NDP 2018 - 2036.
This NDP now forms part of the development plan and will be used to help determine planning applications in the parish of Fressingfield unless material considerations indicate otherwise.
A local referendum on the Fressingfield NDP was held on 12 March 2020.
The submission draft NDP was independently examined by Janet Cheesley BA (Hons) DipTP MRTPI. Her final report was issued on 28 October 2019.
Consultation took place between 5 August and 27 September 2019. The Parish Council (the qualifying body) had formally submitted the following documents:

Consultation by the Parish Council on the pre-submission draft NDP closed on 17 May 2019.
