Stradbroke Neighbourhood Plan
The Stradbroke Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) was 'made' (adopted) by Mid Suffolk District Council in March 2019. It covers the plan period 2016 - 2036
This NDP is now being updated by Stradbroke Parish Council so that it can continue to be used to help guide and shape future development within the parish. The review will cover the plan period 2024 - 2044.
The process for updating a NDP is set out in relevant regulations. It is the nature of the modifications being made that will determine how much of the process needs to be repeated.

SEA/HRA Screening and Determination (July 2026)
The pre-submission draft Stradbroke NDP Review was screened to determine whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and or a Habitats Assessment (HRA) are required. Both has been 'screened in'. The relevant reports and our determination notice are published below:

The adopted Stradbroke NDP (March 2019)
Reg 20 Formal Adoption (18 Mar 2019)
At its Full Council meeting on 18 March 2019, Mid Suffolk District Council agreed to 'make' (adopt) the Stradbroke NDP.
This NDP, which covers the plan period to 2036, now forms part of the development plan and will be used to help determine planning applications in the parish of Stradbroke unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

Local Referendum (31 Jan 2019)
A local referendum on the Stradbroke NDP was held on 31 January 2019.

Reg 17 Examination (Final Report - 19 Oct 2018)
The submission draft NDP was independently examined by Janet Cheesley BA (Hons) DipTP MRTPI. Her final report was issued on 29 October 2018.
Reg 16 Submission Consultation (19 Apr - 1 Jun 2018)
The submission draft Stradbroke NDP was made available for public consultation between 19 April and 1 June 2018. The Parish Council (the qualifying body) had formally submitted the following documents:

- A Consultation Statement
- The Consultation Statement Appendices [Note: This is a large, 20Mb file].
- A Basic Conditions Statement
