Refuse and recycling collections
Refuse (household general rubbish) and recycling are collected on an alternate week schedule.
This means that your refuse will be collected one week and your recycling the next.
After a public holiday, collections will be a day later than usual.
If a bin contains forbidden items, it will not be emptied.
Please ensure that your bin is out by 6:30am on your collection day.
It is important to label your bins with your property number or name.
We can only empty authorised Babergh or Mid Suffolk District Council bins that we have issued to the property.

Sometimes, collections can be delayed by factors out of our control. This includes; roadworks, vehicle breakdowns, crew sickness, severe weather or parked cars preventing safe access.
Garden waste (brown bin) collections
Garden waste is collected on a fortnightly schedule.
The service is paused during the weeks of Christmas and New Year. After a public holiday, collections will be a day later than usual.
If you do not have a brown bin, you may wish to subscribe to our garden waste collection service
